‘U=US’ is a positive television and webisode program all about teens inspiring teens. From Aboriginal youth who journey to the Artic to “green-teens” who work to save the environment, U=US tackles a variety of riveting stories involving Aboriginal, Metis, and Inuit youth striving to make our world a better place. Hosted by two Indigenous teens discovered using a massive social-media campaign, we channel the spirit, voice and vision of today’s Indigenous youth. This fast moving-energetic show embraces creative and unconventional stories. From a group of rural Aboriginal teens who survive off the earth with no governmental records or identification to the first Aboriginal supermodel to grace the cover of Vogue magazine, ‘U=US’ offers insight into the multitude of Aboriginal teens struggling to change stereotypes and contribute to a world where they have a positive and influential voice. The style of the show blends film effects with youthful music to sew together a series that is visually interesting with a distinct urban style and look.
